Global Greater Boston: A New Report from IRI and Boston Indicators

Immigration Research Initiative and Boston Indicators released a new report this month highlighting the demographic and economic characteristics of immigrants in the Greater Boston area. The report examines how immigrants have been part of the fabric of Greater Boston for centuries, and focuses on the central role they play in the city’s economy. In three sections, Kelly Harrington (Boston Indicators), Anthony Capote (IRI), Luc Schuster (Boston Indicators), David Dyssegaard Kallick (IRI) look at the demographic characteristics of Boston’s immigrant population, their economic outcomes, and some of the main pathways immigrants have used to arrive in Greater Boston.
